I checked her Tumblr and she said it was a self portrait based on what she felt like as a kid while riding her horse

that sounds pretty legit, I mean, as a kid who didn’t play cowboys and Indians? doesn’t make them racist, just kids with an imagination

now I’m not saying what she did wasn’t wrong, she should have explained it better or perhaps just not posted them. but I don’t think she was deliberately trying to be racist? at least that’s the impression I got
